The Rice & Eggs:

  • 1 cup - Basmati Rice (Washed and soaked for 20 mins)
  • 4 nos - Hard Boiled Eggs (Pricked with fork)

The Aromatics:

  • 2 tbsp - Ghee or Oil
  • 1 large - Onion (Thinly sliced)
  • 1 medium - Tomato (Chopped)
  • 1 tbsp - Biryani Masala (or Garam masala)
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Whole Spices: Tej patta, Laung, Elaichi, Dalchini

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Fry Eggs: Pressure cooker mein thoda ghee garm karein. Andon ko haldi aur thodi mirch dalkar golden fry karein aur nikal lein.
  2. Tempering: Usi cooker mein bache ghee mein khade masale dalein aur chatkayein. Sliced pyaz dalkar dark golden brown hone tak bhoone. (Pyaz ka brown hona zaroori hai pulao ke color ke liye).
  3. Masala: Adrak lehsun paste, kate tamatar, biryani masala, namak aur thoda sa red chilli powder dalein. Tamatar naram hone tak pakayein.
  4. Rice & Water: Bheege hue chawal ka paani nikal kar cooker mein dalein. Halka sa toss karein masale ke sath. Phir 1.5 cup (dedh cup) paani dalein.
  5. The Cook: Fry kiye hue ande, hara dhaniya, aur pudina (agar ho) paani mein dal dein.
  6. Whistle: Cooker ka dhakkan band karein. Tez aanch par 2 seeti (whistles) lagayein aur gas band kar dein. Pressure apne aap nikalne dein.
  7. Serve: Dhakkan khol kar halke haath se (kante / fork se) pulao ko fluff karein aur raite ke sath serve karein.
